I have been dyeing more wool fabric that I got from a lady who wanted to give it a good home.  I have been having a lot of fun with it making craft items with it!  Thanks Dawn!

I have been busy with my fiber!

Last year, I got real lucky at at yard sale and got a whole lot of wool yarn and I have been busy!  I have been knitting, felting and dyeing with it.  I have made many Farmer Market Bags and they are all different colors and patterns.  I also made felted hats with the yarn and like with the bags, there are many different colors.  I use low impact dye and enjoy blending the colors and getting different hues.

As being an Fiber Artist, I like to expand my horizons and I have been trying something new with the dyeing.  I have dyeing wool fabric and making pillows with the finished piece.  I really like the look, and I have to use those wool coats that I got at the thrift stores and yard sales.  I have also been making table runners and pictures with the one of the best wool fabric on the market, all with hand stitching.

Made a Donation to NHSPCA Today

Every year I make felted cat nip balls and sell them at shows and stores. For every one I sell, I donate $1.00 to the NHSPCA.  This year was $56.00.  We can do better!  The last several years I have near to 70-80 dollars.  It is a win-win situation!  The cat, the owner of the cat, the farm where I get the roving and the small business tea/herb shop where I get the cat nip, NH SPCA all benefit!!!!

I have been Dyeing!

Back in the past summer, I went to one of my favorite farms because they were having a Fiber Fest.  I met two really neat people (Hope and Jen) there who had information about dyeing wool.  I spent a lot of time talking with them giving me their advice and what product to use and how to use it.  Now, in the past, I have dyed wool with Wilton Cake Icing Dye and vinegar  and also black walnuts that I got from a local farm.  But I wanted to do more brighter colors and play with dyes just to see what they can do.  I am having loads of fun making my new Farmer Market Bags mixing and matching all this yarn that I have dyed.  I like to make one of a kind bags and even expanding to making a fair isle blanket.  The blanket is not finished yet but I believe it will work out.  Since all the shows are done for me this season, I have time to play around with things that I put on the back burner.  I do have product in some local gift shops still.

Small Craft Fair Being Held at a Library

For the last several years, I have selling my products at the Mary E. Bartlett Library, 22 Dalton Rd in Brentwood NH.  25% of the sales goes back to the Library and they have a nice selection of crafters who place their items on the tables so you can shop whenever you want.  Please visit their website and find out what made this little Library #1 in NH for the year 2014.  Santa will be there on December 13th until noon.
